Business Controller

Function Description

In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring that Elfsquad's financial performance is optimized. As a Business Controller, you will not only manage traditional financial tasks but will also contribute to enhancing our company’s performance by creating and managing dashboards with various KPIs to track the business’s progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, cost accounting
• Conducting financial analysis on trends, variances, and financial performance to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement
• Providing actionable insights and reports to management regarding financial and operational performance, risks, and opportunities, enabling informed business decisions
• Managing SaaS metrics like Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Churn Rate, Pipeline Development, Implementation customers and other critical KPIs that impact business decisions
• Developing and managing dashboards to monitor and optimize performance across all areas of the business
• Coordinating with sales and customer experience teams to resolve any disputes or issues that may affect the collection of outstanding debts, ensuring customer satisfaction while protecting company revenue
• Assisting with payroll processing, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time in accordance with employment contracts and legal requirement
  
  

What We Require

• Academic level in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a relevant field (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred)
• Prior experience with SaaS revenue models is a plus
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Collaborative team player, goal-oriented, and motivated by a growth-focused startup atmosphere
