Performance Marketer

Job description

Elfsquad helps manufacturers scale customer-specific solutions without losing what makes them unique. Before anyone can experience that, they have to find us; and paid is one of the fastest, most controllable ways to make that happen.
You own performance marketing: search, paid social, and display, targeted at manufacturers with complex, configurable products (agricultural equipment, pumps and valves, packaging machinery, elevators, to name a few). If someone finds us through an ad, you're the one who decided where the budget went, what the ad said, and whether it was worth the spend. You're responsible for getting qualified people in the funnel, steadily, measurably, and at a cost that makes sense.
You work closely with the Growth Marketer, who owns nurture and conversion once a visitor becomes a lead, and with the AI GTM Engineer, who builds the AI-driven tooling that makes marketing and sales faster. Together you form the Marketing team under the CCO. You're not waiting for someone else to hand you a media plan; you're the one deciding it.
AI is part of how you work day to day. You use it to move faster on keyword research, ad variant generation, and reporting; but the call on what actually ships, what's worth the spend, and what the data really means stays yours.

Your Role:

  • Own performance strategy and execution across search, paid social, and display advertising.
  • Manage and optimize budgets strategically, ensuring investment efficiency and alignment with ROI and pipeline goals.
  • Set up rigorous testing frameworks (A/B experiments, creative testing, bid strategy validation) to accelerate learnings and performance.
  • Work with the Growth Marketer and AI GTM Engineer to align messaging, offers, and intent targeting.
  • Own SEO strategy and the company website: keyword research, on-page and technical optimization, and continuous improvement of the pages that turn visitors into leads.
  • Implement robust measurement frameworks using data to improve attribution accuracy, working within our HubSpot setup to connect ad spend to pipeline.
  • Report on performance marketing KPIs.
  • Stay on top of performance marketing trends, tools, and AI-driven optimization techniques.
  • Use AI to speed up keyword research, content drafts, ad variant generation and reporting; while keeping the judgment on quality, relevance and brand fit yourself.
  • Adapt your approach per market → Benelux, DACH, Nordics, Poland. Same ICP, different search behavior, different competitive landscape, different channels that actually work. You bring the judgment to customize rather than copy-paste.

You:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience running paid campaigns (search, paid social, display) for manufacturers or other complex, multi-stakeholder B2B sales environments; you've owned a channel's performance, not just executed a media plan someone else built.
  • Have hands-on experience with SEO and website ownership — keyword research, technical SEO
  • Are comfortable with the tools of the trade: Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads or similar, HubSpot (or a comparable marketing automation platform), and know your way around attribution and reporting setups.
  • Understand the buying dynamics of manufacturers with complex, configurable products (agricultural equipment, pumps and valves, packaging machinery, elevators, and similar) well enough to target and test toward people doing real research, not impulse buyers.
  • Have used AI directly in your own work (keyword research, ad variants, reporting) and know where it saves real time versus where it just looks fast.
  • Have judgment on quality and brand: you can tell an ad or campaign that will actually convert from one that just looks polished.
  • Are a strong, clear communicator in English (Dutch, German, or Polish is a plus).

What We Offer:

We believe that great results come from people who feel trusted, supported and set up to do their best work. That's why we offer benefits that are meaningful and practical, designed for real life.
  • Compensation - a good salary based upon knowledge and experience
  • Resources - all the tools you need for the job, including a MacBook ready from day one and a workspace in our office in Gdansk
  • Hybrid set-up - HQ are in The Netherlands, with additional offices in Gdansk, and Germany.
  • Work from home - possibility to work from home.
  • Quarterly meetings - every quarter we get together for alignment, collaboration, and team building, each time in a different city.

About Elfsquad

We help manufacturers get back in control, letting them scale profitably without losing what makes them unique using our CPQ software. We do this as one team, split across The Netherlands, Poland, and Germany. Different backgrounds, same mission. Different skill sets, same vision. We solve problems together, challenge each other openly, and once we decide, we move as one.  This is possible thanks to our core values:

What you see is what you get

We say things as they are. No fluff, no inflated promises, no Silicon Valley theatrics. We grow in a way that makes sense, with clear communication and honest expectations.

For the Makers

We exist because of our customers, the manufacturers who build complex, configurable products. Their challenges drive our product. We build software that handles their reality.

Ambitious in vision, driven in action

We choose our own course as a company. We dream big but build responsibly. Our ambition is not to grow like a hyped-up startup - but to become the best by staying true to who we are: independent,
inventive, and rooted
.

Winning as one team

We win together, not alone. Our ambition is big; but our success depends on collaboration, trust, and
lifting each other up. No egos: one squad.
