We’re mid-flight on transforming Elfsquad into the world’s smartest CPQ platform one that lets users build, visualize, and sell custom products directly online, with or without engineers in the loop.

About the Role

From dynamic pricing to immersive 3D visuals and AI-assisted configuration, our platform makes sophisticated selling feel effortless. Behind the scenes, we’re solving some of the hardest logic and architecture challenges in B2B software.

As a Senior Back-End Developer, you’ll help architect the engines that power configuration intelligence, blazing-fast APIs, and deeply nested rule systems. You’ll collaborate with front-end engineers and AI specialists, but your primary domain is the logic layer — where things get truly interesting.

This isn’t a job for someone who wants to tinker with UI or write generic CRUD endpoints. This is for engineers who think in graphs, constraints, and scale.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Architect and build modular, scalable logic engines that power product configuration.
Maintain complex rule systems for dependencies, pricing, constraints, and conditions.
Integrate AI outputs into configuration workflows (e.g. smart suggestions, automation).
Develop and maintain high-performance APIs for internal teams and external integrations.
Work closely with front-end developers all over the world to map logic into intuitive user flows.
Help design and optimize our event-driven system architecture.
Be a technical sparring partner for architectural decisions, scalability, and code quality.

Your Stack:

C# (.NET Core) – The backbone of our platform.
Azure SQL & Redis – For robust data storage and high-speed access.
Event-driven architecture – Clean decoupling and scalability.
AI Integrations – OpenAI, Azure AI, and internal ML services.
React (TypeScript) – You’ll interface with our front-end team, but won’t own the UI.
Bonus: Three.js/WebGL – If you’re curious to contribute to 3D visuals.

You:

A logic-driven engineer with ~5+ years of back-end experience.
Strong in C# or a comparable high-performance compiled language.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
Comfortable translating complex business logic into clean, maintainable code.
Skilled in building APIs that are fast, stable, and loved by front-end devs.
A believer in clean architecture, modularity, and event-driven systems.
Passionate about working closely with product, AI, and design teams

Bonus points if you:

Have experience with AI models, prompt engineering, or ML workflows.
Built customizable platforms that adapt per customer or tenant.
Designed real-time APIs with performance at scale in mind.
Love teaching and mentoring other developers.
