Integration Specialist

Job description

You will help make manufacturer integrations understandable, testable, and supportable before they become production problems. That means working close enough to a customer's process to know what needs to happen, and technical enough to prove it actually works. Manufacturers run on many different systems to sell, price, and build their products and those systems were never designed to talk to each other automatically. When a customer wants everything to work together, someone has to turn that ambition into a real, reliable connection. That is this role. You will work with manufacturers and their technical partners to design and validate these integrations, with Elfsquad as either the source or the destination. You lead integration discovery during sales and implementation, work out who owns which data, and turn "just connect it" into a concrete plan: data flows, ownership decisions, route choices, and clear support boundaries. This is manufacturing integration work. You will deal with master data, quote and configuration lifecycles, handoffs between systems, record matching, retries, and edge cases. The parts that make it hard are also the parts that make it interesting.

Your role:

  • Bridge Elfsquad and our customers' technical landscape from running discovery workshops to translating ERP/CRM/CPQ requests into clear data flows and integration plans.
  • Build and improve standardized integration workflows to reduce go-live lead times.
  • Advise customers and partners on using Elfsquad's APIs, webhooks, and middleware safely, and decide the right route per case; low-code where it fits, custom middleware where it doesn't.
  • Produce the practical handoff material partners build from: mappings, sequence diagrams, validation checklists, and go-live runbooks.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and review high-risk designs before go-live.

What we are looking for

  • Hands-on comfort with REST APIs and JSON: reading docs, building and debugging requests, and reasoning about authentication such as OAuth2 / client credentials.
  • The ability to model data flows and ownership: what the source of truth is, how records match, and what happens when a record matches zero, one, or many times.
  • A practical understanding of integration failure modes: retries, idempotency, pagination, rate limits, duplicate or missing matches, partial failures, stale references, and unclear ownership.
  • Customer-facing consulting ability: you can lead a technical workshop, ask the sharp questions, and challenge our customers to work in best practices
  • Clear written communication: mappings, diagrams, examples, and scope wording that both a partner developer and a business stakeholder can act on.
  • Interest in manufacturing systems and CPQ realities: configurations, quotation workflows, BOM/BOR output, ERP handoff, revisions, approvals, pricing, and documents.
  • Fluent English and comfort working with customers across the globe.
Nice to have (not dealbreakers)
  • Experience with CPQ or manufacturing quoting in MTO, CTO, ETO, or ATO environments.
  • Exposure to ERP or CRM systems such as Epicor, QAD, Odoo, Exact, Business Central, SAP, Dynamics, or similar.
  • Exposure to CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Dynamics, Pipedrive, or similar.
  • Experience with low-code platforms such as Power Automate, Workato, n8n, Make, Zapier, or another iPaaS/automation platform.
  • OData query experience (filters, paging, expand/select).
  • Light scripting in JavaScript or Python for prototypes, data imports, exports, or troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with BOM/BOR concepts and ERP handoff.
  • Dutch or German language skills.

You:

  • You are a bridge-builder: energized by sitting between business intent and technical reality, not purely a coder or purely a consultant.
  • You are rigorous about ownership and edge cases. You instinctively ask "who owns this data?" and "what happens when it fails?"
  • You are pragmatic: you reach for the simplest route that holds, and you know when low-code is legitimate vs. when custom middleware is warranted.
  • You are comfortable saying "that is out of scope for now" and re-scoping rather than over-promising.
  • You are curious about the manufacturing domain. You want to understand how a customer actually builds things, not just their API.
If you like making complex manufacturer integrations concrete, scoped, and reliable, we would like to talk. Even if you do not tick every box above.

About Elfsquad

We build CPQ software for manufacturers with complex, configurable products, such as agricultural equipment, pumps and valves, packaging machinery, and elevators. Products that need real configuration logic, not spreadsheet workarounds. This is possible thanks to our core values:

What you see is what you get
We're not here to chase hype or promise the impossible. Just honest, solid software that solves real problems.

For the Makers
We exist because of our customers.

Ambitious in vision, driven in action
We want to build the best CPQ software for manufacturers, but on our terms: independent, grounded, and built to last.
