Job description
Elfsquad builds CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) software for manufacturers of complex, customer-specific products; think agricultural equipment, pumps and valves, packaging machinery, and elevators. Our platform lets manufacturers configure products, calculate prices, and generate error-free quotes from one place, managed by their own team rather than IT or external consultants. We work with 200+ manufacturers across Europe. Elfsquad helps manufacturers scale customer-specific solutions without losing what makes them unique. Before anyone can experience that they have to find us, and understand what we do the moment they land on our site.
We're looking for an interim marketing specialist to cover the maternity leave of our Digital Marketer: a temporary role for a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 months, at 16 to 24 hours per week. The role is primarily there to support the marketing team, with supporting sales as the top priority. You do this through campaigns (search, paid social, display) that bring in the right people for our sales team to talk to. You support the Growth Marketer, and together you make sure the coming months stay on track and successful. AI is part of how you work day to day. You use it to move faster on content drafts, ad variants and reporting, but the call on what actually ships, what ranks, and what's worth the budget stays yours.
Your Role
- Own the company website end to end: structure, content, performance, and continuous improvement of the pages that turn visitors into leads.
- Create social media posts for LinkedIn.
- Set up rigorous testing frameworks (A/B experiments, creative testing, bid strategy validation) to accelerate learnings and performance.
- Implement robust measurement frameworks using HubSpot and other data sources to improve attribution accuracy.
- Track and report on what's driving traffic, leads, and performance marketing KPIs; using data to decide what to double down on and what to cut, no vanity metrics.
- Adapt your approach per market → Benelux, DACH, Nordics, Poland. Same ICP, different search behavior, different competitive landscape, different channels that actually work. You bring the judgment to customize rather than copy-paste.
- Document what you've done and where things stand, so our Digital Marketer can pick everything back up smoothly when they return.
You
- Have hands-on experience with running campaigns in Hubspot in a B2B (SaaS) environment: you've owned a channel's performance end to end, not just executed a media plan someone else built.
- Understand the buying dynamics of manufacturers with complex, configurable products (agricultural equipment, pumps and valves, packaging machinery, elevators, or similar) well enough to target, write for, and test toward people doing real research, not impulse buyers.
- Have used AI directly in your own work such as content drafts, keyword research, ad variants, reporting, and know where it saves real time versus where it just looks fast.
- Have judgment on quality and brand: you can tell a page or ad that will actually convert from one that just looks polished.
- Are a strong, clear communicator in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Can hit the ground running: this is an interim assignment, so you're productive from week one, not month three.
- Work autonomously with minimal onboarding — with limited hours a week, there's no time for extensive hand-holding.
- Have experience working closely with a sales team and understand what sales actually needs from marketing to close deals.
- Are available immediately for 16-24 hours a week.
What we offer
A short, focused assignment where you can make a real, visible impact from day one; no long onboarding, no red tape.
- Compensation — a good rate, based on knowledge and experience
- Flexibility — 16 to 24 hours a week, planned in consultation with you
- Hybrid set-up — work from our HQ in Drachten or remotely, whichever fits the work best
- A clear scope — a defined assignment with a clear end date, so you know exactly what you're signing up for
About Elfsquad
We build CPQ software for manufacturers with complex, configurable products, such as agricultural equipment, pumps and valves, packaging machinery, and elevators. Products that need real configuration logic, not spreadsheet workarounds. This is possible thanks to our core values:
What you see is what you get
We're not here to chase hype or promise the impossible. Just honest, solid software that solves real problems.
For the Makers
We exist because of our customers.
Ambitious in vision, driven in action
We want to build the best CPQ software for manufacturers, but on our terms: independent, grounded, and built to last.
Winning as one team
No egos, just people who've got each other's backs and genuinely care about building something customers need.
